Mutual enchantment for local Grannie and youngest granddaughter

The replacement bus system rarely finds favour with commuters, and is sometimes a damn nuisance for road users and residents.

Let's hope there is an end point to the trackwork soon.

Sherwood Road traffic snarl - one bus has mounted the footpath to create enough road room for oncoming traffic.

This fiasco was largely caused by an associate of one of the attendants choosing to sit in a parked car making the outbound bus stop virtually inaccessible.

Eastbound road traffic was then caused to bank up, drivers tried to weave around queued vehicles, inadequate space for buses to pass where there were legally parked cars.

Attempts to offer advice to remediate the situation failed on account of language difficulties on the part of a casual worker engaged to assist passengers deal with transport queries.

The "buses replace trains" signs erected at the station from time to time are themselves often indecipherable to mere commuters - it would greatly assist passengers if spoken language difficulties were not overlaid on this inadequate state of affairs.

Well intentioned, eager to please no doubt - just put in a situation their skills and attributes do not match.

The Voice

All over - bar the shouting, the recriminations, the despair, the embarrassment internationally and domestically.

Australia has voted emphatically, broadly and consistently to deny The Voice to Parliament proposal.
