Andrea Comerford

‌                                                               I woke Sunday morning to a long expected - but very sad nevertheless - message from Brent that Andrea had succumbed after a protracted health battle.

Brent and Andrea have been popular identities around Eaglemont for most of their lives, regularly seen in the Village and at markets.

Our condolences from the Eaglemont community to the family.

We acknowledge the superb effort Brent has made in caring for Andrea during her illness - he has often been  seen in the Village with their Labrador Lucy getting a takeaway coffee or a treat for Andrea.

We will remember Andrea for her patient good humour while she was ill,  and remember also the life-long care and consideration she showed to other people.

Andrea passed away on 09/09/2023 after a long illness. Andrea moved to Outlook Drive with her parents when she was 12 in 1971. Her parents both grew up in the Eyrie, Eaglemont. They were next-door neighbours. Andrea married Brent Comerford in 1980 and lived at 4 Thoresby Grove Ivanhoe until 1999 then moving to 4 Eagle Court, Eaglemont and then downsizing to Robina Road, Eagelmont. She remembers the old days of Eaglemont supermarket, green grocer and butcher. She was always a regular fixture getting food and goodies to feed the boys. She loved living in Eaglemont and will be sadly missed.‌‌

The service for Andrea will commence at 10:30 a.m. , 20th September at Mary Immaculate Church, Waverley Avenue,  Ivanhoe.
