Coroner's findings

Coroner's findings

I’m writing to thank everyone most sincerely for all the kindness and support I’ve received since John’s unexpected death.

The Coroner has finally advised us of John’s cause of death, which has been determined as sepsis as a result of a ruptured gall bladder. John had regular full health checkups, and appeared to be fitter than ever following his hip replacement surgery. He had suffered for many years with various digestive issues following his oesophogectomy in 2007, and had become used to managing them himself with rest and time, and I think this is how we came to miss any indicators of gall bladder disease. Sadly we were completely ignorant of the fatal and rapid consequences associated with sepsis.

James and I are managing OK at present, as our family, friends and neighbours have all given us so much support. We have good days and bad days, but we are not trying to do too much and are taking everything slowly. I am usually in the Eaglemont Village for coffee most mornings, and love to catch up with anyone I know there.

The new sculptures made by John and placed by the Friends in the garden near the railway “pillbox” look amazing, and John would be extremely proud to see the work being done by the Friends group since his death. Thankyou all.

Kind Regards

Bronwyn
