Equity Trustees Volunteers Helping At Eaglemont
Teamwork, laughter, determination to make a change.
Momentary interruptions to field some telephone queries from work colleagues back in the office - then into it again.
The enthusiasm and camaraderie was obvious.
We assembled for coffees and a briefing at the Eaglemont Dish, all the while apprehensive about leaden skies.
When we got on site things moved fast.
The results for a long mornings work were impressive, then we returned to the Dish for lunch.
Our last task on the job site was to add some seedlings into the existing bluestone-edged bed up on Sherwood Road.
People who had never planted a seedling before suddenly became very anxious about leaving "their" plant to the mercies of the weather!
Well here is a progress report!
FofEV has begun selecting and propagating the plants that will go in after the cold of winter passes.
We are already getting queries from locals about what is to be planted, when, how do I get involved?
Equity Trustees volunteers have made a positive impression on the space and on the local community.
"Thank you" one and all for helping out here at Eaglemont.
