Filming Again Excites The Village

Eaglemont becomes a heritage film set again. There have been 5 filming crews operating in the past couple of years.

Eaglemont re-imagined

When we casually watch a film or TV series most of us do not appreciate the complexity, preparation or intensity behind each scene.

Last Monday Eaglemont Village was again the (slightly modified) setting for a series to eventually air on Stan.

A casual head count from the railway station inbound ramp revealed more than 30 people associated with the production.

Traffic control was in place, but on a Monday morning not all that necessary.

Then there were more inside the shop that was being borrowed as a set.

Temporarily the Village became part of the old mining town of Herbertson.

A bit ironic that the "olde" sign overlaying the railway station sign directed patrons to non-existent public toilets!

Accurate enough funnily but the cited distances are awry - for example the next available public toilets are over 500 metres away.

Sadly the traders spoken to did not report any peak in coffee or food sales - the film crew comes with full external catering!
