There is always something interesting happening in our public and private garden spaces.

Gang Gangs visiting?

Gang Gang cockatoos are magnificent birds occasionally seen in Eaglemont when they descend from the high country to the better winter food sources of suburban Melbourne.

There are reports of Gang Gangs out at Montmorency recently.

They are a quiet, passive bird. Generally they can be calmly approached to within 10 metres when feeding in trees.

Ringtail possums

Ringtail possums are regularly seen - too regularly for some, but they are less of a domestic nuisance than brush-tailed possums.

This guy took up residence above the Fairy Garden.
Cute as can be, but not universally popular.
