Newsletter 24 March 2024

This Newsletter is a week early to avoid a clash with Easter.

Coming Up:

Working bees on Wed 28 March, Sat 6 April, Wed 24 April.  All start 9.30 am.

On 28 March meet at 43A Sherwood Rd for some potting on; 6 April meet on Alandale opposite Wimbledon Crescent; and 24 April will be at Ryder Cheshire Homes - see more about Ryder Cheshire Homes below.

Sit and Sew on Thursday 4 April, 2 pm start at The Dish. At this meeting we will talk about a different name for the group, and possibly a different venue.

A reminder - Chelsworth Park submissions are due in by Wed 27 March.

We also have a link and more information about another Council consultation - Dogs and Cats in Public Places.

Other things that may be of interest are Now and then in Eaglemont, an update on Odenwald Bridge, and of course, Dogs of Eaglemont.

Ryder Cheshire Ivanhoe Homes. FoEV have been helping out in the gardens once a month, and been rewarded with freshly baked cakes for morning tea afterwards, although we have not been there since late last year.  We will be holding a working bee in their gardens on Wednesday 24 April starting at 9.30, and will continue to hold working bees on the last Wednesday of each month.  If Ryder Cheshire do not need us there's always work around the village.

Save any Easter/Birthday cards for Ryder Cheshire as they have volunteers who recycle them into really lovely cards as a fund-raiser.  You can drop off your cards at the Eaglemont Post Office.

Thanks to Sandra from Ryder Cheshire Ivanhoe who provided much of the information in the link below.
