Newsletter 25 February 2024
Please cut these Agapanthus seed heads off and put them in your green waste bin

Welcome to our monthly newsletter, and to the new members who have joined us in the last month.

This newsletter includes information about some coming events and things happening in the community, other things of interest, Dogs of Eaglemont, and Banyule Council consultations.

Coming up

  • Working Bees, all meeting at 43A Sherwood Road at 9 am:

Wednesday, 28 February, we'll keep in short because of the heat.

Saturday 2 March / Thursday 7 March / Wednesday 27 March

  • And Sit and Sew group Thursday 7 March at 2 pm, in The Dish.

Agapanthus is a very tough plant with striking flowers, but it is a signficant environmental weed in Victoria, so if you have some near you with seed heads, please dead-head them and dispose in your green waste bins. Thanks.

Stolen cars  We are hearing alarming reports of cars being taken overnight in this area.  The usual method seems to be the offenders get into the house and steal the keys.  Please be careful and make sure you lock up well, and stay safe.

Eaglemont Cellars - work is being done inside, changing it significantly.  We hear the owner currently has The Post Inn close to Darebin Station and aims to open soon as a family-friendly venue.
