A big THANK YOU from Mary and George

Mary and George say THANKYOU to everyone who joined in the drinks at the Eaglemont Cellars last Sunday to say Farewell to them, and Michael and Stacey, after 21 years at the Eaglemont Post Office and newsagent, and to everyone who popped in to say a private farewell too, and for all the gifts and cards.  They really appreciate the amount of support the Eaglemont community has given them over the years.

About 80 people dropped in during Sunday afternoon, and Friends of Eaglemont Village presented Mary and George with a framed copy of the photo below, as a memento of their time in Eaglemont and a Thank You for their help and support. Because of that support FoEV received two grants from Australia Post for different projects, the most recent being the development of a Wildflower Walk along Sherwood Road, including labels for some of the plants.

We wish them all the very best for the future.

Thank you also to everyone who has been watering the plants, and please take a break for a few days.  We've had some lovely rain with over 20 mls of rain this weekend, and around the same earlier in the week, so everything is well watered for the moment.

Ivanhoe Park For anyone who is interested in the plans for the Park upgrades, they are now available on Shaping Banyule https://shaping.banyule.vic.gov.au/IvanhoePark
