Why we collect your information

We collect personal information upon membership registration in order to:

1. Identify the demographic profile of our membership.
2. Record attendance at events to satisfy legal requirements associated with insurance.
3. Communicate with our members (eg, via newsletters).
4. Send password reset and account-related emails upon request.
5. Associate your account with a unique identifier if you use our credit card payment provider Stripe (note that we do not store any card details ourselves).

Third Parties

We do not share your data with any third parties except:

1. Our email provider Mailgun in order to send you newsletters and transactional account-related mail.
2. Our payment provider Stripe in the event that you should choose to make a credit card payment via their service. Data shared with stripe may include your user name, email, street address and full name.

Data Breaches and Notification Policy

Maintaining your privacy is of utmost importance to Friends of Eaglemont Village. Our website has been developed with precautions in mind to minimise the risk of your data being exposed inadvertently to third parties (for example, through use of HTTPS for more secure communication). However, we acknowledge that no networked system is invulnerable to attack. In the event of a data breach, we endeavour to notify you as soon as possible once we become aware that one has occurred. This may be by email, phone or in-person depending on the circumstances.
