Spring has sprung, the weeds have ris, who knows where the wattles is.

Spring has sprung, the weeds have ris, who knows where the wattles is.
We think this a Golden Wreath Wattle. It has the most vibrant yellow flowers that are out now in Sherwood Rd just as most of the wattles have finished flowering.

This article perhaps should have been titled, Mistakes the president has made.

1.

Don't try and write poetry.

Some of you may recall how windy the start of the month was, fortunately most of our plants have survived very well, the only real damage was to an acacia in Sherwood Rd just south of the fairy garden.

Wind damaged wattle

I think we have been very lucky with such little damage incurred, unlike the the large gum tree opposite the garage in Silverdale Rd. which has an infestation of mistletoe.

Bella thinking better of peeing on that tree!

Snap, send and solve app and then good work by council to clean this up within a day, although I think they need to do some more work to cut out the rest of the mistletoe to correct the tree from being so top heavy and dangerous.

The Silver Princess gum sign on the station ramp  appeared to have been vandalised but on closer inspection the face plate had just fallen of the backing plate.

2. Don't just superglue the sign on the backing plate, use the aluminium rivets  we bought to affix the sign to the backing plate.

All fixed now, the face plate was waiting for me to find it at the base of the tree where it had fallen off.

Purple mint bush? on the station ramp just one of many mint bushes flowering this early Spring.

Corporate Day

We are hosting a corporate day for DKSH on Friday morning the 4th of October, they also came last year and enjoyed their day out of the office and worked very hard in Alandale Rd, weeding and planting. The schedule for the day is to give them a quick tour of the Sherwood Road garden and and fairy garden with an abbreviated nature walk, followed by morning tea in the dish, and then break up into four groups for further gardening and planting in Alandale road.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped organize this day, as well as the person who donated the residual of their voucher for plants from Ceres.

I see there is the inaugural FoEV AGM on the horizon. Apparently there will be a Presidents report to deliver. Never having produced a Presidents report I have been looking around for some inspiration and a certain orange person in the good old U.S. of A. has shown me some tips.

🙌👐  🤚  ✋️ You will will have to imagine the hands moving yourself!

"On first day we are going to dig baby dig, plant baby plant."

"If the previous administration hadn't stopped me having NUCLEAR trains we would have so much energy that you will be saying, Please Mr President no more Electricity we have got too much!"

"AND ......They are stealing and eating the dogs of Eaglemont!!! (lots of hand movements here as I remember) on the first day we will be deporting all those Illegal Aliens back up to the northern wards, after we have paid for their transgender operations of course......"

“Make Eaglemont Great Again" (MEGA)

Who would have thought little old Eaglemont would be having the same problems as a whole super-power country. Hang on did I see a NUCLEAR train parked in Eaglemont Station?!?!

Note nuclear symbol on train between building and light pole......does it look like an emoji stuck on or just FAKE NEWS ! 🤚 ✋️

3. Don't plagiarize other peoples speeches.

Oh look at that, three strikes and I am out!

I urge you to stop reading this dross from me and read the update from Bronwyn in this month's newsletter about how John's timber and tools have been so well distributed to further help the community.
