Cat Jump Thai Kitchen has changed management and will close for refurbishment after this Sunday (21 September).  We are sad to say Farewell to Penny and wish her well; and Welcome to the new management.

THANK YOU!!

MANY THANKS! to DKSH for donating a lot of plants, and for coming to help us get them in the ground last Tuesday morning.  Twelve of their staff came and had morning tea and a briefing from us at The Dish, then cleared weeds and put in over 160 plants along Sherwood Road.

THANK YOU also to everyone from FoEV who did a lot of work before and after to make sure it was a success - special mentions to Mike and Stephen L.

All plants went in the ground with watersaving crystals, to increase their chances of survival in the very dry conditions.  Even though we had a brief storm this afternoon that produced around 5 mls which is a great help with watering them in, the lack of rain in the past few weeks, warmer days, and strong winds have dried everything out again.  But that on its own won't ensure their survival, so ....

PLEASE can you help us by watering those plants near you, or as you are walking around the Village and the station?

And we still have a few plants to go in over on Alandale Road at the next working bee on Saturday 4 October.  All welcome to join us at 9.30 am opposite Wimbledon Grove - no experience necessary.  Gloves and tools provided.
