Update Sunday 14 April
Wed 24 April (weather permitting) we have a working bee at Ryder Cheshire Homes, 14 Donaldson St Ivanhoe, starting at 9.30, followed by morning tea with delicious home-made cakes.
Things that could affect you: Banyule Council is running a number of consultations about things you may be affected by or interested in. In particular:
Ivanhoe Water Tank development: The plans are for around 275 apartments, with a minimum of 10% affordable housing. The draft plans show a building of varying heights, including 12 storeys in the N-E corner on the Upper Heidelberg Rd/Bell St junction. There are also plans for the Council park and playground - it will be relocated to the S-W corner of the site. Information sessions are being held this week, on 18 April (online) and 20 April (onsite). Open for feedback until 10 May.
Our area will also be impacted by the Housing and Neighbourhood Character draft Strategies. These are now on Shaping Banyule for feedback (by 26 May). There will be a number of information sessions - see the link below for details.
And a reminder about the Dogs and Cats in Public Spaces (Public Order Review). The drop in sessions are: Bellfield Community Hub Wednesday 24 April 10.30-12md; Greensborough Services Centre Wednesday 1 May 4pm-7pm; and Wednesday 8 May 4pm-7pm at the Ivanhoe Library. See the Shaping Banyule page for more information. Feedback due by 12 May.
If you don't like doing an on-line survey for any of these things you can either email Council, or complete a paper copy of the survey available at the Council Desk in the Library and Cultural Hub in Ivanhoe.
For more information on any of these, and to access the surveys, visit Shaping Banyule website or follow the links below.
