Photographic evidence a'plenty of the good spirits that made the VicTrack Volunteers Day such a success.

These photos above are courtesy of our colleagues at Keep Australia Beautiful (Victoria), which manages the Stationeers program on behalf of the rail partners - VicTrack, Metro & VLine.

Friends of Eaglemont Village also operates as Eaglemont Stationeers when we work on rail land.

There are specific areas "licensed" by Metro for us to work on, consistent with rail safety obligations.

Many areas have buried cables or other hazards that need to be avoided.

Our rail transport organisations are focused on engineering, communications and financial aspects of operating a transport system near 24/7.

Of necessity our public transport system operates where the public lives, works and plays. The communities that live cheek by jowl with railway infrastructure want the railway service to be accessible but unobtrusive.

Volunteers in the community pitch in to beautify the rail environs, giving themselves and travellers a better experience.

We liaise with Metro - lessee of rail lands - to have their grounds maintenance people & contractors undertake works such as tree removal that are beyond the scope of volunteers.
